Popping in to say, hello!

Hello, everyone!  It's been a few weeks, but I thought I'd pop in and say hello!  A brief overview of what has been keeping us busy!

 Soccer.  Summer soccer has taken over here with vengeance.  Neither Hoss or I were prepared for the amount of time commitment summer soccer would have on our family.  There are days I want to throttle my dear sweet friends who suggested it.  Ugh!  
Swimming almost daily for most of the kids.  Lessons for the younger ones and swimming just to swim for the older ones.  I seriously have some that would like nothing better than to spend the entire days of summer at the pool.  To be honest, so would I!
Church and scout camps have also taken many children, and at times my sweet man, away for days at a time.  Not easy for this momma to handle.  I absolutely dread times that even one is away.  Makes me so sad, but so proud to see them growing and learning away from us. 

Hoss, my sweet man, has been forever busy too.  Work and attending camps with the younger kids has consumed at least a week's time in June.  That means he's left me to my own devices, which is almost never a good thing.

 So, does that mean spankings have been at bay?  Nope. If anything they have more regular to help me cope with the stress of it all.  And yes, as most of you can imagine the stress is high with us being as active as we are this summer.  It's been a blessing that he has been tightening up his expectations of me.  A few sweet friends have been so kind to listen to me vent and offer suggestions on getting myself better organized and to help keep my sassy mouth under control.  We are getting there!  
Hope everyone has a great day!  Enjoy or avoid the heat depending on your current situation.  And for those sweet friends of ours down under who are experiencing a colder than cold winter, stay warm and eat some hot soup for me!

    Nice to see an update from you Baker. You are certainly a busy family over the summer period. Oh how I would love to have a bit of warmth at the moment. Its just way too cold making both Bear and I sick. Eating plenty of chicken noodle soup and ice cream for sore throats. LOL!
    Hope you have a bit of time for relaxing and just enjoying life.

      Sorry to hear you are both unwell. Chicken noodle soup is so delicious and good for the soul, but ice cream for a sore throat is my favorite. Stay warm my friend!

    Hi Baker, great to hear from you,thank you for the update. Phew, you and Hoss are so busy! I'm exhausted just reading this lol. Glad Hoss is continuing to help keep stress at bay:)

      Yes, whoever said the lazy days of summer did not inform me before we packed it full of stuff! Hoss doesn't seem to mind busting out an implement to remind me that stressing out is no good for any of us. Thanks for stopping in!

    hi, glad to hear how you are doing. we are doing well and keeping busy. swim lessons for the kids start next week for us...along with some summer tutoring, and camp for one of my kids...other than that lots of little day trips and swimming plans... :-) take care!

      Hi, Terps, sounds busy at your home as well! Isn't summer just a fun time to pack it all in? Seems we always say we're not going to be busy, but then we get caught up doing a ton of stuff. Best part is everyone must take time to enjoy catching lightning bugs at least a few times every summer otherwise summer would not be complete!

    I love reading here - it brings back fond memories of my kids being little. But I tell you I LOVE having an empty nest. I'm glad you're getting enough spankings to keep things together.

      Heard you coaxed someone out of her comfort zone to write a little story for you. I have first hand knowledge that she didn't die from embarrassment😉!

      Yes, someday we will empty nest too, but right now we are just loving life and blooming where we've been planted!

    I love how your summer is going! I am like PK and miss those days with my kids! Enjoy every minute!
    However I also love having more adult time!

      Occasionally I try out the adulting thing too, but seems it's just nicer right now with all the kiddos at home. They drive me nuts, but it's a good kind of crazy to be blessed to have in our lives. Thanks for visiting, I love it when you stop in and say, "Hey!"

    Treasure this time but face the changes with a smile. There are parts of every age to appreciate.

    Hiya *waves* You sound SUPER busy. I don't have kids so it's the same old thing for me whatever the season, but it sounds like you have so much to do! Exciting! (and stressful? I would be overwhelmed I bet.)

    I've been reading PK's blog from the beginning the past few months and read your FF story from last July. I enjoyed it very much, especially the first paragraph. I was wondering where you could be. By the end of the paragraph, I'd figured it out, of course. But it was so clever the way you did it! Your blog looks interesting. Soon, after I am up to the present with PK, I will look at a few others, including this one.

I do hope you find the time to read mine,but I totally understand the wading through to read the different blogs, it's incredibly time consuming though extremely rewarding at the same time.
