My Man, the Spanko

Okay, folks, when in the world did my husband decide that spanking me was okay?  I mean, really, we went from me having to coax every little spank out of the man to some guy that I do not recognize some days.  Let me give you a few scenarios of what I'm talking about here...

Bend over to pick up a piece of laundry off the floor, a loud clap on the bum.  Me, rubbing intently, glares at a smiling Hoss with that grin a mile wide across his face.

Standing at the stove cooking dinner while the kids are playing outside or in their bedrooms, swish and swat!  Loud as a freaking firecracker and again that smile.  It's like he's enjoying it or something.

Or him wrapping me in his arm for a kiss or a hug and he pins my arms.  Swat! swat! SWAT!  Me giggling and wiggling to get out of his embrace and avoid the double swatting hands of his.

Walking past him to head up the stairs...what is it about him practically chasing me up the stairs trying to swat me with each step.  Awe, that man of mine... He makes my heart all a flutter.

There used to be days, I can barely remember them now, when he would need to be coaxed to swat.  More...harder....longer....  Now, it's me saying, "Hey, now!"  or "Really? The kids will hear!"

Hoss, he just smiles, that big goofy grin that I love.  He shrugs and smiles.  And well, that's what it's all about anyway.  The joy in the knowing that this lifestyle is for us.

Have a good Friday.

  1. I'm getting a lot of 'hit and run' swats these days...our hearts really aren't into anything major -- but the swats connect us and make us smile.....

    1. Awe, MS, so good to know that you are still getting a bit of something to make the love go round. We are trying to be more intentional with the other things and I'm glad we are, but so hard with little ones always around.

You be careful too, it's a tough world out there right now.

Fly-by swats are great. It's such a nice way to stay connected.

  5. Haha, yes. I am familiar with the "hit and run" style - as morningstar calls it. It's a really good quick fun way to reconnect on the go!

    1. Fondles,
Especially when there are alot of people hanging around. Our kids think nothing of a fun swat from daddy to momma. They laugh along with us. Also, helps that we try to bring alot of silliness to our home.
