My Christmas List

All is merry and bright around here.  Christmas shopping usually goes up to the last minute.  I always seem to forget stocking stuffers or to buy a gift for someone special.  Today I already know I will be running to get yet another sweet teacher a gift as well as trying to figure out something spectacular trinket to give to our youngest's classmates for their party tomorrow.  There will be much baking this weekend and hopefully wrapping of gifts.  So everything is in full swing as it should be and I finally wrote out my Christmas list for the hubby.  So I'm certain he will be happy.  I am very spoiled as usually whatever is on the list is purchased for me.  I always feel so guilty at Christmas writing out things that I would like to have as I already have more things then I need or want.

I am so well loved that hubby and our children all tend to present me with an exorbitant amount of gifts and I am always the last to finish unwrapping things on Christmas morning.  It takes awhile to ooh and ahh over each child's gift to me as well as the sweet things my man will find for little old me.  Especially those homemade ones that a sweet child has labored a long time over to make just right for me.  I'm very blessed and thankful at this time of year.  I hope you too are finding joy this Christmas season.
Hopefully there will be snow soon and more hot chocolate with plenty of marshmallows and homemade fudge and cookies to share by the fire.  I pray each of you is having a blessed Christmas season.

  1. I asked santa, aka my man, for homemade coupons. I'm thinking coupons for he cooks dinner and takes care of kids and lets me sleep in is more of a commodity than ever now that we are doing ttwd. Hope you get everything on your list.

  3. I love Christmas time and I try not to get so caught up I forget to see it and experience it. I'm like you, I have everything that I feel in truly important in my life. But just to be helpful I do try to come up with a list of things for me.

    1. PK,
I hate making lists, but I make an exception at Christmas to make sure things come out even among the kids. Happy retirement day to you!

  4. Awww...what a sweet post, Baker. Reminds me of when my boys were little and they worked so hard to make gifts for me. I actually have my Christmas shopping done and have started on my baking and candy making. Hope we get a clear day so I can my divinity for my youngest...he would be so happy. Make sure you take some time for yourself during this hectic time of year.

    1. Cat, please pass me the divinity recipe, my grandma and uncle both passed away before I learned to make it from them. I have literally not had any in at least 15 years because I rarely find anyone that can instruct how to make it right. I love homemade gifts from my kiddos, it just makes it so special. Our little neighbor friends came by with a box of cookies for our kiddos yesterday, so super sweet. I love seeing others teach giving at such an early age. Warms the heart. Hoping to get most of my baking done tomorrow, but it may last into the week. I think we are going to attempt homemade ginger bread houses, but we will see if I am that adventurous by the time the rest of the baking is done. Lol!
